英国音楽業界で最も権威ある音楽賞とされている“ブリット・アワード（Brit Awards）”。今年も2月9日に授賞式が開催され、さまざまなカテゴリーの受賞が発表される予定ですが、そのブリット・アワードの冠が付いたコンピレーション・アルバム『Brit Awards 2005』が英国で発売されることに！

　アルバムはブリット・アワードにノミネートされたアーティスト・楽曲をメインに構成されたもので、シザー・シスターズ「ローラ」、キーン「サムウェア・オンリー・ウィー・ノウ」、カイリー・ミノーグ「レッド・ブラッディッド・ウーマン」、スノウ・パトロール「ラン」、カサビアン「L.S.F.」、モリッシー「ファースト・オブ・ザ・ギャング・トゥ・ダイ」（写真は『ユー・アー・ザ・クワーリー』）などといった英国生まれのヒット曲に、ブリトニー・スピアーズ「トキシック」、マルーン5「ディス・ラヴ」、デスティニーズ・チャイルド「Lose My Breath」、アッシャー「バーン」、カニエ・ウェスト「スルー・ザ・ワイヤー」などの米国生まれのヒット曲も加えた全40曲を収録予定。また同作にはDVD(PAL方式)も付属される予定となっており、CD収録曲からセレクトされた25曲ものビデオ・クリップが収録される予定です。発売は英国にて1月31日を予定していますので、2004年のヒット曲を今一度チェックしたい方はご注目を！
