トーキング・ヘッズ、ラモーンズ、ルー・リード、マドンナなどのUSアーティストだけでなく、ザ・スミス、プライマル・スクリーム、マイ・ブラッディ・ヴァレンタイン、デペッシュ・モードらUKアーティストの作品も米国で数多く販売してきた、米ワーナー傘下のレーベル、サイアー・レコード（Sire Records）。その同レーベルの誕生40周年を記念するボックス・セット『Just Say Sire: The Sire Records Story』がリリースされます！

　米音楽誌《ビルボード》のスタッフであったシーモア・スタインらによって1966年に設立された同レーベル。今回リリースされるのは、来年2006年に設立から40周年を迎えるのを記念して、その同レーベルを代表する名曲の数々を詰め込んだCD3枚＋DVD1枚のボックス・セット。収録されるのは、上記アーティストたちに加え、ダイナソーJR.、ミニストリー、ウィルコ、テレヴィジョン、エコー＆ザ・バニーメン、ザ・キュアー、ライド、エヴリシング・バット・ザ・ガールなどレーベルの歴史を作ったアーティストばかりとなる予定。CDには全61曲が、DVDにはビデオ・クリップ20曲がそれぞれ収録される予定です。リリースはUSにて9月13日を予定。価格は日本円で1万円しない程度となる模様です。
